Cristy Linscott Nielsen is a photographer, graphic designer, entrepreneur, writer, and creative storyteller with more than 25 years in small and large business branding, e-commerce, and the commercial and fashion industry. She is also known as "Mom" to two fabulous young women, her favorite role in life.
After spending over two decades behind the camera and lens creating visuals, building brands and telling stories for others, and now becoming an empty nester, Sunshine Tide has become an opportunity to create something deeply personal… a lifestyle brand inspired by sunshine, adventure, resilience, kindness, and the courage to begin again.
The brand name was born from two things Cristy has always loved. Friends and family have called her “Sunshine” for most of her life, and whenever she needs to recharge, you'll likely find her chasing a sunrise or sunset, and walking the beach or snorkeling at low tide, searching for seashells. Her deep connection to the water, along with a lifelong passion for creativity and community, became the foundation of Sunshine Tide.
Each collection has been inspired by Cristy's favorite places, real-life experiences, and meaningful moments. She has a strong belief that loving and compassionate acts of kindness can create a ripple effect, and change the lives of those around us. She has taught her daughters that each of us, as humans, are responsible to create and be the change we wish to see.
Giving back is another important part of the brand's long term goals and mission. Through partnerships with organizations close to its heart, Sunshine Tide will create purpose-driven collections that help raise awareness and support causes making a positive impact in their communities.
Created during a season of reinvention and new beginnings, Sunshine Tide is rooted in authenticity, color, outdoor and coastal living, and the belief that joy is contagious, kindness matters, and it's never too late to build something meaningful.
